About the venue

The House is one of the finest examples of Jacobean architecture in England. It was built in 1607 and still has the original oak staircase, many of the fireplaces and plasterwork ceilings. Our screening will be held on the lawn behind the house. Charlton House is in the care of the Royal Greenwich Heritage Trust, a charity looking after key structures, objects and historic records within the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

Food and drink

Enjoy a picnic in the gardens and adjacent areas, before the film starts then take your spot on the main lawn, should you be using chairs please set up in the designated area. Unfortunately, BBQs and the cooking of food of any type is not permitted anywhere within the grounds of Charlton house.

“Arte della Pizza” will be making delicious authentic fresh Italian pizza to order, with vegetarian options available. There will also be fabulous ice-creams, snacks and nibbles and a bar with beer, wine and soft drinks.

You are welcome to bring your own food and drink to the screening, please dispose of your litter in the bin provided on your way out. Bring something comfy to sit on and warm clothing too, just in case!
